JP Recruitment are seeking a Trades Assistant to join an awesome team doing fitting, assembly of mining equipment in a brand-new workshop located in Kenwick. The role involves supporting workshop operations - assembly (and refurb) of crushing and screening equipment - assisting Fitters and other trades in fitting, painting prep; use of workshop equipment; HP cleaning, Forklift duties; assist with stock/parts, deliveries in work vehicle, working as part of a team with support to get the job done. The company is a global brand of mining equipment. The workshop is state of the art, modern and brand new. Safety is priority. The people are great, and management is family friendly and people oriented. We are seeking someone who is reliable, safety minded and a team player. This role is a dayshift consisting of 6am - 230pm workdays (Mon to Fri) and a shorter shift on Fridays which is 6am - 12:00pm. An optional Saturday shift is available from 6am to 12pm. Duration is long term. To be considered you will need: A mechanical aptitude with previous workshop experience High Risk Forklift License A manual drivers license (to do deliveries) Able to use power tools, hand tools, HP cleaner. Ability to work in a team Able to muti-task and show initiative To pass a drug and alcohol screen A rate will be offered dependent on skills and experience, starting from $34 per hour.
